In here and out there.
I know, there's no reason why I should be using IE6 in this day and age, but in a corporate environment there's not much I can do about it.

I'm finding more and more sites will show me the front page and then proceed to lock me out with a popup telling me to get a better browser and will not let me back to the main site.

However, I just linksurfed to a canadian newspaper site which pleasantly reminded me using a hint at the top of the page that I am using an out of date browser and then asked if I would like to upgrade, be reminded later or to ignore the warning from now on.
This allowed me to continue perusing the site in the full knowledge that while it won't look pretty it will at least work.

Is there anything I can do that won't upset the IS bods here yet allow me to continue surfing these sites?

Cheers. :)

The IS policy is pretty locked down... the usual really, no unauthorised software nor USB sticks.
Ah well. thanks.
