How to get best speed on the wow downloader

i got the trial of WoW, and im only getting 200kb/s, normally i get around 1/1.5mb/s. What Does p2p downloading mean? its currently checked in the options, should i try turning it off?

I heard someone say you can get updates through torrents too, is that true?

how do i go about downloading the big patches of other sites? I dont have a clue what ones to download
