The worst time to have a failing hard drive because I have coursework to do and exams to revise for.
Thankfully it's not the boot drive, so I'll still be able to use the pc, if I take the drive out, without having to reinstall everything.
It first started last night when I was using mkvmerge and it hung there indefinitely.
With HD Tune it said 30 sectors were reallocated, now it's gone up to 44.
I do have most of the stuff backed up, but there's a few new files that I need to backup, however when I'm trying to copy something over it has transfer speeds of less than 5MB/s, and then after a while it comes back with an error saying cannot transfer, error with I/O.
I'm about to try it in safemode, but is there anything else I can try if that fails?
