how to get edge to pop up when clicking a link in my email

Hi so before upgrading to the latest edge i could click a link in the windows default mail and the browser would start and open up on the desktop, but since i upgraded to Version 79.0.309.71 edge will start but remain in the taskbar,i would like it to open up on the desktop, any ideas ?
