How to get Minecraft to use 2x GPU's In Crossfire?

Picked up Minecraft again and want to play it with Sonic Ethers shaders mod, however it only runs at about 25FPS when using a single R9 390 8GB. My system has two in CFX, but Minecraft doesn't support Crossfire.

I found an old article online saying you can add javaw as an application on a custom GPU profile and select Crossfire mode as AFR friendly to make Crossfire work, but that doesn't seem to work with the latest version of Minecraft and the latest graphics drivers.

Anything else I can try?

Is this the Ray Tracing mod?

No. That doesn't work on AMD cards at all sadly! This is an older version of his shaders mod, before he added path tracing.

Use not latest versions of the game and drivers?
