How to get my email account back

So I've just tried logging into my windows live email account and have been greeted by a message telling me I have been locked out of my account because it may have been used to send spam emails.

I have the option to send a code to an alternative email so that I can unlock the account, but the alternative email account has also been hacked. There is no other options to unlock my windows live email account.

What do I do? :confused:

Recover the alt email then the main one or contact their support.

I can't recover the alternative email. Whenever I try to log in I constantly get a too many incorrect logins, even though it is my first try.

I've tried using password reset but I am getting no texts and even with the "call" option I am getting no calls to my phone.

I guess I'll try emailing customer support from a new account, and if that doesn't do anything, ring up support at 8am.

If you email Hotmail, they are usually pretty good. They will ask you questions like name 3 contacts, where have you accessed it from...

Need to make sure when you get the accounts back you find out how they got in, usually a weak question answer.

If you can prove its yours by giving as much info as possible -

Folders
Regular Emails
Contacts
Calendar Entries

They should give you it back. I have recovered student accounts after they got hacked, you just need to get the right email address to send to.

Hotmail seems to appear to be the biggest providor that accounts are compromised. Not sure if it's worth going to hotmail at all. I would be tempted to move providors if you can.

Windows live mail - those three words are the answer. Gmail all the way with two factor authentication.

Like it has been stated already usually hotmail are okay for dealing with this sort of problem. My email was hacked a few years back, just had to fill a form in answering certain questions. It helped that my account was linked to xbox so i had more proof.

I personally use Gmail. I just enjoy the design etc more than hotmail.

Anhow just contact them and they should be able to help you.

This has just happened me and only realised when I bought a new xbox and won't let me sign in. The recovery from they sent me is useless as I haven't used the account for emails for an age, just to access my xbl account. How can I go about contacting them or getting this sorted. I really don't want to lose all my dlc and games I've paid for.
