Ok guys after being asked to make this post here it is, hope it works as well for you as it did for me. Before i start though, i do not take any responsibility for any problems you may get from using this how to, it's just something that has worked for me which may or may not for others.
At This stage i'm presuming you already have the nvidia gfx drivers installed.
Step 1) download the registry hack for Nvidia classic control pannel (link)
Step 2) Download Forceware Coolbits (link)
Step 3) run the registry hack for the classic control panel (you should now be able to access it by going through: display settings > Advanced Settings > clicking on your gfx card > additional information) - note you won't be able to access the nvidia control panel via desktop it will have disapeared DON'T WORRY
Step 4) Run the Forceware coolbits registry (this will now cause rundll.exe errors when you try to go back into the gfx settings via the above route - FEAR NOT)
Step 5) Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies (now change modify the value data to 2 for the following keys : ContextUIPolicy / CplGroupUIPolicy / TaskbarUIPolicy this will bring back the desktop shortcut to the nvidia control panel)
Step 6) now delete the coolbits registry from the following link HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak
Step 7) now re-run the first nvidia classic control panel tweak
Step 8) go back into: display settings > Advanced Settings > clicking on your gfx card > additional information You should now have access to all the coolbits features with the classic control panel
FINAL STEP) Post back on overclockers with your love to me (milk and cookies will be nice too
