How to get rid of car with least hassle?

Local scrap yard wont charge much to collect and have a few £ in your pocket. Or can get it picked up for nothing in a couple hours all you need to do is look in local paper or on sign posts for a number
 
Ebay it. Sold loads of old cars through ebay. Be totally honest and you may be surprised how much you get for it, there is a buyer for everything.

An example which springs to mind was a Rover 45 with a blown head gasket and 150k miles, was no way worth fixing to us. When the guy turned up it all became clear - he was a rover specialist mechanic, had engines laying around which would fit it and wanted a runaround :)
 
Maybe ebay. Just be very honest and thorough with the description.

But then again - it's a T reg Polo. You'll probably get 2/3 of the ebay price at a scrap yard.

good idea, didnt that other member on here recently do the same, slammed on the brakes on a roundabout..

perfect place to get a claim in as other road users are looking everywhere a lot of the time apart from straight on..

this is why ive stopped looking around on roundabouts and aim on the car in front,, cars dont seem to like me to the right though for some reason ?
