Sorry guys,
Numpty question - I've just moved my home assistant instance to an SSD and the new build was defaulting to a new IP address, so I've updated this in the router admin to a fixed ip (Netgear Orbi), but I note this always takes a fair bit of time to update - ie it's now the following day and it's still accessible through the old IP address and not through the new one.
Now 'something' happens each time and eventually it moves, I'm just keen to understand what it is so I can trigger it instantly!?
I've tried restarting the home assistant pi, but it seems to be stubbornly fixed on the old ip.
Can anyone tell me what they do to update/refresh their IP addresses?
