How to get SDHC cards to work in windows?

I have tried the "hotfixes" from microsoft but they still don't work. I get a timeout error when trying to access my 8GB SDHC card from my dell monitor's card reader.

Any ideas?

I don't think Dell monitors can read SDHC cards.

Yup, unless the monitor's card reader is pretty new it's unlikely to read the card

SDHC readers are backwards compatible with older SD cards, but older SD readers are not compatible with SDHC cards

Looks like you will need to buy yourself an SDHC card reader, they can be had for as little as £1.
