How to get sound from XBOX?

Hey guys, i'm having problems getting sound from my Xbox360 when plugged into my pc and i was hoping you guys could help me.
Im running it through the VGA cable and having the red and white RCA cable plugged into the line in on my I/O module, however no sound is coming through my speakers.
What settings should I use, or can I use the optical instead?
Any help appreciated!

You may need mess with the settings in the creative Console Mixer and I think most I know use the optical.

I fixed the issues, could plug them into my Aego M speaker set .
