Hi guys,

Am I right in thinking that I'm currently undervolting my e4300?

Putting 1.3v through it in the bios, and overclocking it to 2.9Ghz at present. Looking in core temp, it says my VID is 1.325v, is that a correct value and what the standard volts should be at?

Also, any recommendation on what is 'safe' voltage to put through my e4300 on stock cooler for about 3.2Ghz? (yeah, I know.. sold my decent cooler ages ago as no point as could only get to 2.71Ghz previously on my old motherboard).

Upto 1.45v or so is pretty safe as long as your temperatures are fine. I have had my old E6600 at 1.55 with suitable cooling. Your temps will depend on voltage, type of cooler, case, ambient temps etc. Just try it small steps at a time.

my e6400 is at 1.4v. runs quite hot thou, 35-40c idle 60-68c load using arctic freezer pro.

I think you might struggle to get a stable 3.2ghz on stock cooler, maybe consider buying this i think its a bargain for under 20 quid.
