How to get this to work in IE

Hey guys. Im not the most experienced developer by any means, more of a bodge jobber. I've put together a site for a mates dad and have since run into a situation with the menu.

the website its self is here www.loanssas.com seems that IE 6-8 don't work. any suggestions would be amazing

sorry guys, when looking at it in IE 6-8 ( i think ) it doesnt display as a menu bar, rather it just shows the list elements, the links work, but it looks really rather messy.

reason being i need to work this out is its a finance site and it seems a lot of banks and finance institutions use old and dilapidated software

Psuedo elements have big problems in old IEs: http://caniuse.com/#search=:hover

If you need to support that far back (which is pretty pointless IMO) use a JS framework such as jQuery to abstract the browser compatibility problem away from your code.

Do you have a link i could do some reading on ? that would be awesome, not the smartest of chaps
