My mum's kitchen has floor tiles, like a heavy duty lino type material. They've been down for years. One of them has started coming up. Should I get some epoxy glue underneath it?

yh but it might be too strong?

dunno what brand anyone should work, spray it on and let it go tacky before sticking it down

that's all the guys use when laying lino

I'll look into it. The tile seems fairly strong and needs a bit of pressure to push it down, so depends how strong the lino glue is I guess.

At least they have stayed down for some years. Ours started lifting within weeks! This is going back approx 20yrs ago now! I used the spray adhesive for the vinyl tiles. Wouldnt use that again!

Is that the one that comes as a kit of glue and activator? Seems quite expensive.

Its super glue and an activator spray that makes it set immediately. You could get the same results using just superglue but holding it in place for longer. Not sure i'd use it for this task though as its not viscous enough and you'd want a glue similar to the glue used on the tile.

I used evostick contact adhesive in my bathroom and that worked.

I think you can get a small tub of it for a similar price at screwfix, although might not be as easy to apply as a tube.

I put a piece of plywood ontop of the vinyl tile and then some dumbell weights to weight it down over night and it's still stuck to this day.

UHU glue in the yellow tubes. We used to use it in school for special occasions when the PVA stuff didn't cut it. :o
