Well, I'm about to start a computer science course at Uni and I'd like to give myself the best start that I can really. I used to dabble with HTML and I created a few websites which weren't that bad really, this was around 3 years ago however and I've since forgotten everything I learnt about Flash, HTML and graphic manipulation.

I want to start getting back into web design, not only should it give me more of a clue than I have now, but it'll also tie the next month or so of my time up. What I'm asking then is are there any good places on the net that have good tutorials for beginners at web design. I don't have much money so the only programs I really have are Microsoft Office, Textedit (Mac) and iWeb.

I'll be using OS X if that makes any difference.

Cheers in advance. :)

I'm not sure HTML and Flash are going to help you much on a Computer Science course to be honest. When I did it it was Maths, Java etc. There is room for PHP but you'll find yourself coding in Java or C mostly, I'd imagine.
