How to have "insufficient privileges to reply" lifted?

Is there a time limit for joining the forum? Or is is down to how many posts I have made?

It does seem rather counter productive if I have to effectively "spam" the other forums to post in the one where I think I can make a contribution.

There is an interesting thread I have been following regarding tax on cryptoassets and there does seem to be a lot of confusion about certain things that I feel I can shed some light on.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/forums/threads/cryptoassets-for-individuals-tax.18840790/page-12

For example, there are recent posts regarding NiceHash and the reports that I can add some clarity on.

Cheers for any info. If I know if there's a minimum post count limit then I can get to work trying to come up with some decent input!

edit: it seems when you hit 21 posts you are in - not sure if there might be a time limit as well?

I agree of course - it would end up like the NiceHash Reddit in there! But spamming the other forums does seem topsy turvy to me.

My own fault, I should have signed up aeons ago instead of just lurking for the past lifetime lol.

Of course I didn't mean spam literally (I used air quotes in the OP), but I suppose I will have to find some threads of interest and add my tuppence worth to.

But the thread posted earlier ( https://www.overclockers.co.uk/foru...ent-to-post-on-the-crypto-sub-forum.18920663/ ) gives no indication of what exactly is required to pass the threshold to post - although I'm sure it's not a secret I've certainly searched when I signed up and can't see any mention about restricted forums.

Im not being funny but we have had this convo before.

Hmm, yes we did - and I didn't want to "spam" (again, the air quotes) other forums with endless posts when I have no idea, and there seems to no information on these forums, as to what the requirements are to be able to post in the section I am most interested in. It's been over 30 days since I joined, so obviously that is not enough.

So no, you are not being funny, but again, no it is not "fairly self explanatory" at all.

Deffo <100 there is a poster who posts in there who has only just made 51 total and hes been posting in there a fair bit.

OP I would go and play in GD. There is plenty of content there to comment on and help / advise on. Get incensed by etc

You're right, I think I'm just going to have to get-a-posting, I did send you a (long) PM basically telling my crypto life story, don't know if you saw it (or could be bothered reading it, I do tend to drone on)?

If so did you manage to get a look at the DAY report I was on about? That's where the problem lies in keeping the amount of transactions down (re: your post #234 on the tax thread in reply to Disturbem's various posts).

I did sort of, I was waiting for you to get "cleared" so you could debate in the thread since a lot of what you wrote was useful

No worries, cheers. I'm having a couple of beers later while the missus watches her backlog of U.S. drama tripe, so I'll try to get the post count up without getting an early ban.

The crypto tax thread could certainly do with a bit more "realistic" input I feel, so hopefully I'll get there soon enough.

If you'd made this thread in GD rather than in here, you would have doubled your post count by now.

Yes, I realised that posts in here don't count!

Never, mind, I'll stick my oar in a few other threads later and see if getting to 10 scores me anything...

Still only 22 posts so far user2000? Ive got to say Im slightly disappointed after our talks. :(

:p

Yeah, I'm a busy guy lol.

The time it took me to faff around getting where I needed to be, it turned out I didn't need to be there any more.

But I may start chipping in now, times are-a-good in the wild west of Cryptoland!
