How to implement smooth scrolling on a Sqaurespace website?

Smooth scrolling is usually a JavaScript thing since it has to take control of your scroll bar's position.
It's also very anti-UX, I can't stand it.
Not sure how it works with Squarespace (Do you use templates?).
Either way, there's plenty of JavaScript/jQuery plugins which will do it for you.
