Please can some one advise me on what to do.
Current rig: i7 920, Gigabyte UD7, 6 Gb OCZ ram,XFX Black edition 850 PSU,windows 7 ultimate 64bit,2tb HDs 1 x ATI 5970 with 2.8 catylst drivers.
What I need to do is add a 2nd 5970, but I have not got a clue on where to start, and I cant see anything on google.
I have a spare PCI E x16 slot.
Shall I uninstall the current drivers? Shall I just instal plug and go ?
Last week I added a 5870 and there were some drivers issues, so I completely re-installed my operating system, from vista to a new windows 7 ultimate 64bit.
So i want this to go as smoothly as possible.
Has anyone ecountered a problem by adding a 2nd 5970 or 5870 as they use the same drivers.
It would be great if someone could advise me on wgat to do step by step?
I just want a stable rig with 5970 crossfire.
