How to install canon MP270 printer driver in ubuntu?

As title, unfort I dont have time to search through read me's on how to do it, I can leave it and do other jobs and come back later to copy and paste into the command line whatever any kind soul may reply to here ?

Have latest dist ubuntu, and canon MP270, download the files off canons website, what now ?

Is your ubuntu 64-bit?

If it is, I had to do this in opensuse to get my ip4700 to work:

The principle should work in Ubuntu.
