How to install Enermax ELC240

Hi all,

Finally got my new build ready to be assembled by me (never built a pc in my life). I'm following a few YouTube guides, however I'm struggling to find one on the Enermax ELC240.

My question is, do I need to install the heat sink provided with my processor (intel i7) as well as the Enermax ELC240? Or do I not need that heat sink that comes with the processor? Also would I still need to apply the thermal paste onto the processor if I don't need the heat sink?

Turns out my brother placed the instructions elsewhere and it says the cold plate comes with a pre-applied layer of thermal grease.

I'm assuming that means I won't need to apply any to the processor then?
