how to install game patches

Have installed oblivion 1.3 mod from dvd to data files but the game looks the same ,still in the dungeons/caves but would expect some difference to be noted !
Also can anyone recommend a good gaming mod download site that installs them for you ?

Patches are usually to fix game code and glitches, also to bring optimisation, as apposed to making the game look better. :confused:

Did you use any new light source in the dungeon? It may be really dark in there.
Try standing on a random box to see it from a different perspective. If you see a couple of DVD disks lying around get in touch with the UK government will ya?

Unless the game maker provides an updater built in, or unless the mod community have made one you are stuffed.

Really depends on the mod in that case.
Yes some modders do provide launcher type interfaces to keep things chirpy.

In the case of that one have a look at the read me or notes of the mod, a good few are just content (same graphics and so on, just more space), with more and more becoming based around graphics.
