Just got a ford fiesta P reg for the nice price of £0 from my dad
So im just using it till I can afford something decent and add another year of no claims to my clock hopefully
Now, it comes with a standard sort of Ford radio, which isnt a double DIN, its about the size of 1.5? So, Ive been googling and have come across fascias on a certain ebay site.
Anyway, for example, a fascia looks like this

Now, heres the bit im confused about, its just a fascia, by that I mean, theres nothing to hold the CD player in the air (blanking plate goes on the bottom I think?) So If I put a cd player in there it surely would fall down at the back and not fit properly, at a 45 degree angle?
Do I need to buy another adaptor to hold the Cd player in place? Or will it just work?
Another thing is the power connector and the aerial, some sites say there not needed, some say they are, do I need to buy one for either? (want to order one off the net so I can plug in the cd player the date my current insurance runs out so Im not blasting out saga FM, etc
) Not sure if Ill need an adaptor/booster or a ford to ISO connector? (Or are fords standard ISO anyway?)
This is after Ive removed mine of course, have some keys that came with my new cd player, are they to remove the new cd player, or a standard set of keys thatll remove any cd player? If not cheapest way of getting a ford key to remove the current pile of rubbish installed in my dash?
thank you sir
