I'm trying to install a skin into foobarr but when I install foo_looks2.1 it comes up with the following:

Failed to load DLL: foo_looks.dll
Reason: This component is missing a required dependency, or was made for
different version of foobar2000.

Apparently it only works in 2k/xp? So what do I do if I have Vista64?

skins can be a right pain in the arse to install, messing around with components and config files ect. i dont personally believe its worth it. if you want something pretty, use winamp lol. i stick to the standard interface and use columnsUI and a few extra panels to do everythign i need. file tree and lyrics panel on the left, playlist and peakmeter spectrum on the right. all i need:)

it's made trickier by the fact they people who put up their configs for download aren't allowed to include the plugins that are needed. so first you have to download all the dlls and place them in the components folder first. these are constantly updated all the time and you may find that new components break configs. you have to be pretty keen to get foobar looking good. it's not as simple as downloading a file and choosing a skin from a list. :p

Oh dear, I think I may stick to WMP11 or try winamp :p

Is iTunes better than WMP? That has themese too but since I dont have an ipod or anything is there any point using iTunes?

well, what do you want from it? functionality? does it have to look pretty? do you spend 90% of your time gawping at the pretty graphics or actually using it? lol
