How to install windows Dell Inspiron 1200 ?

My old dears cra**y dell is running really bad. I need to format and install windows again. How do I go about it? Is there supposed to be a recovery CD?
There is a key code for windows xp but no disc?

You may have a recovery partition, I can not remember which key you press during start up - could be F12 OR F8.

Alternate phone up Dell and they should be able to send you a disc.

Thx RJC,

Just spoke to the very friendly and helpfull Dell and they said that I had to CTRL and F11 to hit the recovery partition on the HD.
