Just wondered if anyone has any tips on how to insulate canopy style garage doors.

I have a 15 year old Semi detached property with integral garage. When you are in the garage you can feel the wind blowing sometimes into the garage through the edge's and bottom of the garage door & frame. In fact, in the last hour, there was even fine snow in there as the wind was blowing it directly in that direction.

Anyhow, any tips on insulating it rather than spending £1k+for a replacement insulated roller garage door? (Which I would love as well as a remote for it)

I can certainly get a photo later on. But it is not a old house. But certainly a 'canopy' style garage door.

Duct tape I do not think would not be great. As I use the door daily to go out with the dog.

Not sure about a solution to insulation, but you can get long lengths of the draft excluder style brush strips that would reduce the ammount of things that will blow under it.

Yeah u can buy seals for the bottom and side a canopy door.

If you have the space that does not interfere with the mechanism if you want to insulate the steel door itself..maybe expanded polystyrene (sp ?) may work
