Morning all,

I'm trying to stop Skype from starting up whenver I log-in to my work PC (Win 7 Enterprise) but it just always pops up when I log-in.

I've gone to Options>Personal>Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows/Start the app in the foreground both of which I have unticked. What else can I do to prevent it from running at start-up?

Your suggestions would be much appreciated.
Hugh

Skype for business? I never really got it to stay closed. It always opens itself when I open outlook.

Do you have admin rights?

You could try deselecting Skype from the Startup tab in System configuration.

Search the start menu or run MSconfig then find skype and untick it.

No admin rights, unfortunately. I'll see if those with The Power can banish it.

Good look, our powers that be (directors and IT) are very keen on everyone using Skype instead of picking up the phone or sending an email for most things.
Even when I log a fault, the follow up is on Skype. It wouldn't be so bad but literlary no one else uses is it for more than waiting for a colleague to leave and sending "I love you" to someone else from their PC.

Hahahaha. It's about all it's good for anway.

I just restarted and it started without my opening Outlook, though it could be that Outlook is running in the background anyway. It irks me so damn much that it gives you the impression that you can prevent it from starting-up, but then it runs anyway.
