How to know if it will fit ?

By checking case depth to see if CPU Cooler will fit.
If your motherboard is ATX you need ATX case.
Length of graphics card too.

99% of the cases listed will have this info in the description.

Anybody know what sort of cases I could use ?

First and formost, if this is your first ever PC build/swap. I would suggest you take plenty of photo's of your computer before you take anything out. So you have a reference point incase you actually get stuck.

However PC's are made so you cannot plug the wrong cable/component into a wrong port/socket.

Secondly - take your time with it, do not rush and just enjoy learning.
