How to limit internet connection

Hi peeps!

I'll be the 1st to admit that i'm a complete n00b when it comes to anything network related, but a friend of mine has asked me if i can help her regarding this issue. She wants to shut off her sons internet connection during certain periods of the night ie between 11:00pm and 7:00am.

Is there any perticular way she can do this without the son being able to undo it or find a work around?

What router does your friend use....?

I have a VM Superhub and you can restrict access by MAC ID to certain times of the day and this is how I controlled my son.

That was until he workout a way to change the MAC address on his laptop to one that was not restricted.

Thanks for the input, surely you can configure the router as to not allow any other MAC address to connect to the router? I seem to remember that setting when i was configuring my own Netgear one?
