How to limit max connections in Vuze

Details are sketchy as it's on behalf of me dear brother-in-law, who even though a massive Apple fan I still want to help out!

When downloading large files his router throws everything out of the pram - no devices which use it can get onto the web.

I asked him a few questions, and scanned the web and discovered Vuze might be establishing too many connections..? Knowledge exhausted I'm afraid.

If anyone can suggest how to correct this I'm ready and waiting!

Tell him to use uTorrent for Mac. It has a connection wizard.
