How to limit Xbox download speed

Hi,

Is there anyway to limit the bandwith // download speed of an xbox on the wifi? The xbox is always on and seemingly always downloading meaning the rest of us have horrific internet while this lad sits with it downloading all day lol

We have a BT Smart Hub 2. All are using wireless connections.

Cut the power supply wires! Though you need a proper router to have full control, you could look to set a 20MHz wide wireless channel for the Xbox and that would limit to around 100Mbps ish

I'm guessing this isn't possible for the smart hub from the control panel page?

I don't have the router but you have an that option or to create a Guest SSID, just make sure it is 20MHz wide.

Just set the xbox to not update games automatically.

I say this because there is a power mode that means that the console is supposed to be fully powered off and not able to update, but I found that to be complete and utter bull so I turned off auto updates instead.
