How to lock a website contents

I am building my first website and would like to lock the contents on the page such that pictures and text cannot be stolen. Anyone know how to do this?

you can disable right click with javascript, or use flash

Why bother? Trying to protect your content is a futile and pointless exercise with so many workarounds for people who are determined to nick it.

You can't, really. In order for others to be able to view that stuff you have to make it available.

You could lock it all in a Flash binary which would make it a lot tougher to copy, but Flash-based sites are nasty and evil.

What sort of web site are you making? Why are you concerned about people lifting your content?

You can't. Don't do the disable right-click thing - it looks very amateurish.

You can't, and why would you want to?

Watermark images if they're personal or yours.

Even if you come up with the best solution to stop copying... even managing some how to stop screen grabs... I can just take a photo of my screen with a camera

The only real way to keep it private is not to make it public in the first place.

Well if it's on your site for people to view, then there's nothing you can do to prevent it from abusing it I'm afraid.
