I was doing the trick where you put contrast and brightness down to zero and hold source for 5 secs to bring up the service menu. However, in my dismay when I switched it back on I had locked all my OSD menus apart from brightness. LED brightness was locked, sharpenss was locked. A cold sweat had broke out.
Luckily I had a good memory. It turns out that I was holding down the MENU button for 5 seconds. Doing this acts as a toggle switch that will lock all the settings other than brightness and contrast.
Actually, this is a good thing. It will prevent my kids from messing all the settings up. They can still change brightness and contrast but thats it.
Hold down the MENU button (making sure the menu doesn't come up) for 5 secs. The LED power button will flash once. Thats it, the menus are locked. To get functionality back, hold the MENU button again for 5 secs, the menu button will flash, and you are back in charge.
Neat.
