I've been recommended to make a portfolio for when I finish college, but having never done this before I have no idea what the best way is. I mainly do programming so would be looking at software development jobs, so the portfolio would include some mobile applications, software libraries and video games.
As far as I can tell the two main methods are a website (can get myname.com), or a physical folder. I was leaning towards a website as it allows more content and would be very easy to put together. But a physical portfolio just seems more... professional? Plus I'm guessing having something to take to interviews would be useful?
Also how much stuff should I include in it? Is it worth including everything I've made, or only the stuff which stands out? Oh and I've also done some 2D/3D design work, mainly for the games. Is it worth including this separately?
Anyway if you hadn't guessed I know nothing about this lol, so all help is much appreciated
