thanks

Are you looking to dual boot into Windows 7?

If so you could shrink your current disk volume using Disk Manager, create a new volume, boot into the windows 7 install disk, select the new partition to install onto.

I think that should work. Else perhaps trying some VM software but I don't know if any are compatible with Windows 8.

what version of windows 8 are you using since if you have the pro version then you can get the media centre pack for free until around the end of this month.

Else perhaps trying some VM software but I don't know if any are compatible with Windows 8.

This is the same as if the OP has windows 8 pro and a compatible processor, then it's just the process of activating hyper-V in the OS.
