How to Make an Epson Printer Recognize Clone Cartridges

Hi

I have bought some 3rd party ink cartridges for my Epson XP-352 and I am getting the following on the printer - 'Ink Cartridges not recognized'.

On my previous printer, you could accept this, but on this printer, you cant. On other forums it is saying that I should "Disable Epson Ink Status Monitor" but I cant find this option on my machine.

I have an iMac which runs El Capitan 10.11.6.

Any help is appreciated.

I think you may have to down grade.
Loads of sites on about it and how to do it.
