hi peeps, i have a s5600 and sometimes the colours look a bit dull and faded in certain situations. I was wondering about any tips or tricks I can use to make colours really stand out and feel lush and alive?

suggestions?

other than take a photo when its more sunny, post processing in photoshop. Nope, unless you get a new camera, then lenses can make a difference or if you are using film, then the film can do too.

Curves!

I find instead of just bumping up the saturation or fiddling with any of that in PS, i find you can get far more realistic and vibrant results by selecting certains parts of your images and playing with the levels/curves separately. For example i had a shot of a tree on the beach, and by editing the curves seperately (the white-ish of the beach, then the green of the tree) you can really improve things. But more importantly it doesnt look unrealistic. As long as you dont overdo it.

I dont know if this is a recommended practice mind, i do just kinda pick up on things and teach myself bits and pieces :)
