How to make Espresso at home?

*shudder* :p

You can probably make a much nicer espresso (though coffee snobs (me included) would not call it true espresso) with one of the cheap £30-40 machines and a cheap blade grinder and coffee beans. It's really not even close to optimal but it would give you far far nicer coffee than any kind of instant.

I only need it, as before a gym session, I drink an Espresso to give me a bit more intensity.

However I started buying it from the gym, but after a few times I realised that £8 extra a week, on top of my monthly gym subscription was going to become extremely expensive.

So wanted a cheap way to make it at home. It's only really for the caffeine, not taste.

You can't make a proper espresso with crema without a proper espresso machine because the crema is extracted under high pressure.
aeropress or whatever they are called or probably the next best thing.

If you only want caffeine then by the tablets? from boots , holland and barrat , superdrug? etc
