How to make expolrer get internet from LAN when modem dialled to private access?

Hey guys, any of you networking wizards know how i can get a PC with external modem access to private banking system to access the internet over LAN for general use?

The private bank stuff is called Hexagon and uses its own prog. Ive had a dabble but seen nothing obvious to force net access for browsers onto the LAN.

I would assume you could change the order in Advanced Settings in Network Connections but I don't know if that will make much of a difference.

Do you use a VPN? I often connect to my company's VPN and there is a setting in VPN properties to stop the computer from using the remote gateway on the VPN for Internet access.

interesting ta, might be vpn based, where are the vpn settings?

It'll depend on the client you use. There should be some routing options to drop traffic to whatever's at the other end over the dialup connection and leave the rest alone.

Properties of VPN connection: Internet Configuration - TCP/IP Properties: Advanced: untick (something to the effect of) 'Use remote gateway for Internet access'

Just tested this with dial-up (since i had noticed in the past that dial up over-rides a broadband LAN connection). It works! awesome! Cheers for the info.
