how to make it quiet?

Hi All,

I'm very new to gaming PCs etc. So I have a quick question. I've bought an MSI HD 7870 graphics card and I want it to be quiet. I have a cooler master silence case at the moment that has sound deadening foam and some big low speed fans and that is not silent but very quiet. I would like a quick and cheap way of making my new graphics card be quiet too. Any suggestions?
 
An aftermarket cooler for your graphics card.

Personally, for silent PC components I use a little know site that does Silent PC Review s (although their current VGA recommendation is somewhat out of date!)

Based on their current reference list these are the top coolers, you might need to check what fits your budget, is available and is compatible with your graphics cards (perhaps a fellow 7870 owner can comment):

Scythe Musashi
Arctic Cooling Accelero S2
Xigmatek Battle-Axe
Zalman VF-1000CU
 
Thanks very much. :). That was easier than expected. I thought it was going to be a case of replacing the fans for a silent cooler of some kind.
