Firstly, i apologise as i assume this question must have been asked before, but my search skillz have failed to turn anything up.

On to it then:

How do i make iTunes only sync newly added music? Whenever i drag and drop anything into my iTnues, then sync, it insists on re-uploading all the music i currently have on there. What should be 2 minutes adding 1 album turns into an hour adding them all.

I cant seem to find an answer to this anywhere, and i bet its really simple ;(

thanks

Oh wait, sorry. I misread (skimmed) your post and thought you were only adding to your itunes library, not syncing with your ipod. As i'm not really sure of the answer to your question I'll advise you to wait for someone else who does.

Not wanting you to blame me for losing a load of music...

Yeah no worries. I just unckecked everything that i didnt want to re-sync, and now it's removed all my music from my iPod.

Honestly, iTunes is such a SHOCKINGLY poor piece of software, it's almost laughable. It redownloads all my album artwork and replaces half of them with the incorrect covers, then wont let me change the artwork on more than 1 song at a time, meaning i have to go through every single song individually adding artwork, and now you can only sync everything at once.

What a joke.

Yeah, I pretty much look after tagging and album art elsewhere and don't let itunes touch it. Most of the other stuff that makes it suck is there because apple put it there, your syncing problem for example.

I used to think that.
Then i got my head around the GUI and it just makes sence.

Anyway.
Uncheck your entire library.
Plug in iPod, set to manually manage, sync only checked selections.
Check all the music you want on your iPod. You'll only have to do this once.
Anything new is automatically checked, so it will auto-update your iPod with the new music.

The only time you'll now have to faff with 'checking' is when you want to change whats on it when youve ran out of room. :p.

Create playlists and upload them individually?

On Windows?

You can change the artwork on more than one. Select the whole album then drag the image into the album art in the botton left.

If you don't like it, use Winamp!

I'll give this a bash, thanks. I tried to use the "sync only checked" and it removed everything then uploaded the checked ones, but i hadnt chosen the Manually manage option so that'll no doubt be what it is.

Oh, that was disabled. The Viewer? I'll give that a bash too. Cheers for that also :)
