How to make tasty crispy chicken wings like KFC or SFC ??

How can I make tasty crispy chicken wings like KFC or SFC ??

Ive tried a few times but im not getting it rignt,

the coating falls off or does not crisp up
the other problem is i cant get it to taste good, all i can taste is flour.

Any recipes you have tested that work.

Tom Kerridge recipe works well, soaked in buttermilk then dusted in flour/spices.
