My friend is unable to use the Internet I the computer because it is going do slowly when it uses the dongle, I don't know why it goes so much slower than usual when he is only 6 foot away from his modem but it goes so slow he can barely load YouTube videos.
I have tried disabling the dongle and even restoring windows back to when it worked but it doesn't seem to help at all, it just constantly asks for the code to the network, and when I put it in it says mismatch, it's starting to get quite silly.

Any feedback and advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

there is another computer in the same room which is connected through an ethernet and the internet on that is fine, and i have tried disabling the dongle and it just does not connect, in the network and sharing centre thing it does display the modem with the dongle in use, but with the dongle disabled it does not use any local area connections or anything and just cant find it

I have already tried the cable and it works, and and yeah it shows up in the device manager, and I have tried disabling it to use the cable and then downloading drivers manually and it doesn't work still

Ra link rt61 turbo wireless LAN card #2
Real tek pcie gee family controller
Himachi (which is a thing used so you don't have to port forward)
Those are the things in the network adaptors list, and also he is using windows 7 64 bit

No it's not a laptop, but I think I know what it is, I replaced his motherboard for him the other day and I don't recall putting the disk in which came with it, if that's it I'm going to feel very stupid

well as it turns out no its not that, the only thing i can think of is if the hardrive just wants to keep using the old motherboard drivers, so im going to reinstal windows and if that doesnt work then i give up lol
