hi all

what it is i have just built my new pc build, i have come from an nvidia card which had software so i could manually reize my desktop.

but i cannot find such options with my amd card.

my graphics card is a asus r9 290, and im using a technika tv as my monitor at the moment, but i cannot get a desktop to fit on the full screen

but i could when i had my nvidia as i could manually resize it

can anybody help please thank you

The problem is with the TV IIRC.
You get this a lot with AMD cards, Nvidia seems to have the options to re-size (overscan) however AMD doesn't seem to do this.

Try the TV menu/settings and look for something like Game mode or similar. I think it's something to do with how the TV detects the signal and the TV needs an option change to get it mapped properly.

If you're connected via hdmi then install Catalyst Control Centre (if you haven't already) then My digitial flat panels > Scaling options > set to 0

You don't have this option in CCC?

i have 3 monitors and it all depends which connectors i use if i need to overscan to fit them all perfectly. so default after wiping drivers one is always underscanned. Kinda annoying
