Yeah you need a mounting bracket for each end which adapts that bit with 3 slots. Generally it is better to use a horizontal PDU IMO.
OK, thanks. I wasn't sure which type would be better. To me a horizontal PDU might make more cable clutter and I'd have to bring cables up and down the rack, whereas a vertical PDU I can keep the cables at the same level?

That looks horizontal to me, what's the width/length of it?
12 way usually around 28" IIRC - dunno if there is any difference between the horizontal and vertical ones other than the length and mounting bracket.
My 19" horizontal ones are 6 gang + protection or I think you can get 8 gang without the protection bit.
Yeah it was the mounting bracket on the OPs picture that made it look like a 19" horizontal one.
