How to Move GTA from one PC to another in steam

Hi All

Well i have the whole 120gb GTAV Encryption issue, I have just installed steam and GTA remotely on my server at home so i have the files at home when i get in. However they are installed on my server (same steam account) but this drive is mapped to my PC. So whats the best way to move this install (its not encrypted) to steam on my PC ? im guessing i cant just drag and drop ?

Yep - just drag and drop it into the local Steamapps directory, then start steam.

I don't know if there are any issues with savegames etc but for most Steam games, once the files are there it does a quick verification and you're good to go.

Oh Win ! This seems to be the best way around the GTA unpacking issue

there are no save games yet

disclaimer - I have no clue about the 'GTA unpacking issue' - that was entirely based on having installed/moved steam before.

Nope this does not work

seems not so with GTA, going to have to re download it again

got home early to play this and now another 60gb download. Really Pi$$ed off with how steam have done this tbh

i read something about having to move the manifest file as well, which is the files called appmanifest_271590.acf in the steamapps directory.
