Hi Guys I already bought my 670 Windforce already OC, I leave the characteristics here... I would like to ask few things, if it is already OC

1. Will I have to put more OC or is ok like this? (If it is yes with which program please...)

2. Why it appears 99% load? I don't have anything running...

1.150 core clock??? WTF?

Really thanks guys.

Hi, im new on these forums but have had a lot of experience with these new cards.

From my understanding, 670's and possibly 680's run at 3d clock settings instead of 2d clock settings when chrome or explorer is open, I think its driver related.

Your Clock speed is correct, Your GPU Clock is basically always ignored when OC'ing, Go with the Boost clock, Your other speed showing, 1150 is the Built in, unchangeable Kepler boost which if different on each chip, so your Kepler boost is showing as 1150 Minus the boost clock which is equaling 91Mhz, which is probably not the maximum kepler boost on your chip as I've seen most start at around 112 upwards.

Open GPUz again, right click on clock speed and set to show maximum, then run Heaven benchmark 3.0 on Extreme tessellation and max out the anistropy and anti-aliasing after the benchmark completes exit and check back to gpuz, then take that figure, say its 1175 and minus the gpuz Boost clock reading (1059 in your picture) which will give you your Kepler boost.

Like I said before you cant change the Kepler boost but you can add an offset to the Boost Clock via overclocking with MSi Afterburner or EVGA Precision X.

Hope this helps. (also cant remember if its Kepler or Keplar!)

There is either something wrong with the graphics card or with windows/drivers. It should be 0-10 percent load, and temperature around 30 when not playing games.

That score for heaven is too low (It should be around 44 fps at those settings)

Let me tell you that I found something weird, and it has to happen to more people I'm sure well...

When you gonna restart that screen comes flash for a second and then comes back, if in that moment you just cancel the restarting and you go to check again the temperature load of the graphic card etc,... THEN IT WORKS...

Well you know what I mean? It is monitoring something and is not my AERO because is not activate. so is quite weird because now playing battlefield I don't know if I should be getting more FPS or it works just like that.

You could try opening msi afterburner again and setting the clocks speed to say MINUS 5mhz and clicking apply and watching if this bumps the card into returning to normal usage of 10%.

Long shot though. It seems driver related or some sort of program you may of use to use is still running in the back ground that relys on the GPU more than Cpu... But what that could be, i dont know.

I doesn't change anything...

Well guys I've installed a new O.S in other HD that I had and it works good so it must to be a process running behind and no IDEA WHICH one.. I'm closing one by one trying if I could guess which one is...

Well When I put RESTART SYSTEM, in 2 seconds the SCREEN FLASHES and then I put cancel restarting system and Windows just closed few thing, ONE OF THEM IS THAT PROCESS... why?

Because then it works good.

Ok I found the problem now the games works a 30% 70% and so on, and in idle is at 3% bla bla...

Well I've been killing all the process one by one, until I found it.

SVCHOST.EXE (I have like 10 open so was quite tricky but is not just that.)

I think that the solution was to kill one process form tuneup I don't know if it was -adobe gama loader- -Graphic card smart tuner- and the third one was...

U3 CHECKER MFC Application. I think was that one let me chek it ok, But not before to see how it runs battlefield 3 and all my games xDDD

44FPS I can't believe it how can you be so certain?

Guys I had to close procees tree process and so on but now it works... Let me in few hours found which was the problem ok? Bye. Thanks for your help. Love ya

I get the impression the fix is not coming fast enough :D

Step back, Image your OS or use another harddrive and start with a clean install with basic drivers etc, then monitor when the other apps (which I assume you need) are installed.

Trust me, it will be quicker in the long run especially if the OS/registry is full of partially uninstalled and broken applications/settings.

Good luck

No man no it took me, like 3 hours to fix it xDDDDD

yes I've been lucker, I 100% agree with you. Well I'll explain to you my secret xDD

With my CASE I have hot unplug HD's bla bla then I took of my raid0, and I put other HD that I had then I installed a new S.O.. and bla bla WAS WORKING... Well I already knew by then that it was a problem of drivers or whatever you know what I mean.

Then I came back to my regular O.S trying to kill process by process and checking which sub process was working on that time...

-Adobe gama Loader- and -U3cheker-

Don't ask me which one because when I try to start those process one by one don't do anything but when I put both BOOOMMM 100% there is the problem.

I HAVE OC The 670 Already xDDD Step by step...

+131core +400mem +1100 vol
Is that good?

Adobe Gamma Loader probably. Programs that adjust the gamma/brightness directly can end up using huge gpu resources due to the way they write to card. I tested some a few weeks ago due to a lack of OSD on my display. Even games like Quake with 1,000+fps dropped to sub 100fps.
