how to open clamps

Yes. You pull/push them sideways.

You may need to loosen the clamp by prying it open before you slide them across. Just be careful

Easily possible. But if you did what i did and used pliers to tighten them, i'd give up and chuck em

Can't remember if I did, was years ago. The 'threads' on them seem to be one way only. My fingers are so sore

Why don't you use cable-ties instead?

Cheap, cheerful .. and replaceable

use two, space them out (overkill) if your worried ...

I suppose this is true if your planning to show off your rig (i.e. window etc...)

Personally watercooling next build because I won't have a choice (fans will be loud and OC (air probably won't cut it)) and case will be tucked away under my desk
