I'm sorry if this was on forum already - I couldn't find it?

Can someone please tel me can I overclock my Intel Pentium G620 2.60GHz sits on Asus V7-P8H77E Intel H77 motherboard?
If the answer is yes, can you please tel me how should I do it - where go in BIOS?

I'm not looking for the extreme just for a safe and stable overclock.

Much appreciate your help as I never did that before - but I'm a quick learner ;)

Really the 620 doesnt overclock, nor does any of the pentium 1155 chips.

Windows route:
If you go into AI suite in windows, there is an auto feature where it will clock the chip using safe settings. I dont recommend doing this as Im not fully aware how the BLCK acts on the G620, but on my HTPC it clocks from 2.8 to nearly 3 and its been running like that for a few months now.

BIOS route:
Get into the BIOS and click "Advanced settings" in the top right. Find CPU settings and look for the multiplier (should be set to auto). If you find what the G620 multiplier is, I dare say you could add one or two on safely, but I havent tried this way yet.

You are braking my hart...:D :D :D - I thought that all CPU's can be overclocks - I have been wrong then.

So the only way to increase speed, safely for me is to bay faster i3,i5 ori7 processor(1155). As I don't want to take a risk of destroying CPU or motherboard.
Are the 1155 sockets are relatively better then "normal" ones? or 1155 is the "old" type of processors?

1155 is the current socket, as Ivy Bridge was only released a few months ago. The i3/i5/i7's will all be faster, but only the ones ending in a K will be overclockable (3570K for example).
