Selling off parts to old computer and need to post a cpu which is attached to heatsink and fan. Whats the best way to protect the pins? I was thinking to bubble wrap the whole thing (cpu, heatsink & fan) together a few times then put in a box, but will the bubble wrap cause static issues?

kinda off-topic but related to cpu's at the same time :D

Thanks a lot for the advice everyone. Thought i could get away with just posting the lot together  , good job i made this thread then eh.

i haven't tried yet, but im sure it shouldn't be too hard to separate the heatsink and cpu, cpu's only been attached to it for a short time so hopefully the thermal hasen't set like stone or anything lol.

im still stuck on the packaging though, i now know how to package it, but where do i get suitable packaging from, like small pieces of foam and a small box so the cpu doesn't move around too much etc?
