Another thing what bothering me are the motherboards. Say if you go into system configurator on OC site theres a list of motherboards. How do you no you choosing a good one and whever it will fit that case etc. Ive not got one in mind but i do no for sure now i do want a I7 3770k. I thought i might as well pay that bit more for that bit extra power just for what ever reason. But there no point in getting that CPU if the motherboard i get is low spec.

All mobo are at a standardised size like Full Atx, micro Atx etc

Cases themselve are also set in form factors ie full Atx can fit full size ATX mobos as well.as micro Atx

So long as the case you picked supports ATX boards then it will also support microATX boards - so all the Z77 board currently available will fit fine.

As for which motherboard to go for, it is worth identifying what features you need/want and get a board that has all these. If you can list all the things you need/want (ie good CPU overclocking, rear e-SATA port, black PCB) then we'd be happy to recommend some boards that fulfil your needs and are known to be good.

May I ask what you will be using your system for and what other parts have you already picked out?
